Egil "Bud" Krogh Jr. (/ ɛ ɡ ɪ l k r oʊ ɡ /; August 3, 1939 – January 18, 2020) was an American lawyer who became infamous as an official of the Nixon administration and who was imprisoned for his part in the Watergate scandal.

Egil Krogh was a lawyer and aide to President Richard Nixon who co-chaired the covert White House Plumbers unit and was the first member of the president’s secret operatives to be sent to prison. He later regretted his role in the 1971 break-in at the psychiatrist of Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg and wrote a memoir about his ethical dilemma.
