Wilhelm Miklas (15 October 1872 – 20 March 1956) was an Austrian politician who served as President of Austria from 1928 until the Anschluss to Nazi Germany in 1938.
Wilhelm Miklas war ein österreichischer Politiker. Von 1928 bis Mai 1934 war er Bundespräsident der Republik Österreich und anschließend bis 13. März 1938 Bundespräsident des diktatorisch regierten Bundesstaats Österreich.
Wilhelm Miklas was a statesman who served as president of the first Austrian republic (1928–38). A member of the Christian Social Party, Miklas sat in the Reichsrat (parliament) during the late years of empire (1907–14), and, after 1919, in the Nationalrat (lower house) of the new Austrian.
