Giovanni Salviati (Florencia, 24 de marzo de 1490 - Rávena, 28 de octubre de 1553) fue un eclesiástico italiano. Biografía. Hijo de Jacopo Salviati y de Lucrezia de Medici, su tío León X le creó cardenal diácono de SS. Cosme y Damián en el consistorio de 1517; su hermano Bernardo alcanzaría la misma dignidad en 1561.

In the same wing of the building, some of the rooms on the second floor have frescoes painted in 1552 by the Florentine artist Francesco Salviati. The work was commissioned by Cardinal Giovanni Salviati, who owned the building for a long time and made it his residence.

Giovanni Salviati ( Florència, 24 de març de 1490 - 28 d'octubre de 1553, Ravenna) va ser un cardenal italià. Fill de Jacopo Salviati i Lucrècia de Mèdici, era el nebot per part de la seva mare del Papa Lleó X. I també era l'oncle del Gran Duc de Toscana, Cosme I i el cardenal Alessandro de Mèdici, qui més tard seria Papa amb el nom de Lleó XI.
