Nader Shah (en persa: نادر شاه ) (su verdadero nombre era Nader Qoli Beig) (22 de octubre de 1688 - junio de 1747) fue un sah de Persia, fundador de la dinastía afsárida que reinó desde 1736 hasta su muerte. Ha sido descrito, en muchas ocasiones, como el Napoleón persa .

Un gran líder militar durante la ocupación afgana de Irán en la década de 1720. Expulsó a los afganos en 1729, y en 1732 se convirtió en regente. His army had easily defeated the Mughals at the Battle of Karnal and would eventually capture the Mughal capital in the aftermath of the battle. [4]
