Margaret Burbidge (Davenport, Inglaterra, 12 de agosto de 1919-San Francisco, Estados Unidos, 5 de abril de 2020), nacida Eleanor Margaret Peachey, [1] fue una astrónoma, astrofísica y profesora de universidad británica, ganadora del Premio Mundial de Ciencias Albert Einstein [2] y una de las pioneras de la astronomía moderna.
Eleanor Margaret Burbidge, FRS (née Peachey; 12 August 1919 – 5 April 2020) was a British-American observational astronomer and astrophysicist. In the 1950s, she was one of the founders of stellar nucleosynthesis and was first author of the influential B 2 FH paper.
