Christopher Robert Cargill (born September 8, 1975) is an American screenwriter, novelist, podcast host, and former film critic known under the pseudonyms Massawyrm (on Ain't It Cool News) and Carlyle (on Spill.com).
C. Robert Cargill was born on 8 September 1975 in San Antonio, Texas, USA. He is a producer and writer, known for The Black Phone (2021), Doctor Strange (2016) and Sinister (2012). He has been married to Jessica Cargill since 4 May 2002.
Cargill began his career with Ain’t it Cool News under the pseudonym Massawyrm, writing there for over a decade, subsequently becoming a staff writer for film.com, hollywood.com and co-founding the animated movie review site Spill.com.
