Pesellino (born 1422, Florence [Italy]—died July 29, 1457, Florence) was an Italian artist of the early Renaissance who excelled in the execution of small-scale paintings. Pesellino was raised by his grandfather, the painter Giuliano il Pesello, and worked as his assistant until Giuliano’s death.
