Urzay, Darío. Nace el 13 de diciembre en Bilbao. Ingresa en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU), donde se licenciará en 1982. Participa en el Certamen de Arte Vasco Navarro, organizado por el Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao.
A Darío Urzay (Bilbao, 1961), artista presente en la colección Iberdrola, le gusta investigar, explorar y experimentar, por ello, como confiesa en esta entrevista, se considera a sí mismo casi más un inventor que un pintor.
