Admission Requirements. All students must be able to meet the Essential Requirements of Physical Therapy Education at Elon University. A satisfactory national background check, at the student’s expense, is required prior to matriculation. All students must complete the entire Elon DPT curriculum.
The Mission. Elon University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum, in partnership with Cone Health-Alamance Regional, provides graduate professional physical therapy education and supports faculty and student scholarly activity.
The Doctor of Physical Therapy at Elon University. Elon’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program is built on solid principles of science and research. At the same time, we recognize a quality physical therapist is more than just a clinician.
Doctor of Physical Therapy Curriculum. The DPT program’s unique modular curriculum is designed to integrate and coordinate courses and modules in a sequence that enhances learning. Students in the program have the opportunity to practice specific learning objectives in a variety of clinical practice settings.
Must be able to meet the Essential Requirements of Physical Therapy Education at Elon University, which are detailed on our website. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required unless English is the student’s native language or the language of instruction.

The three-year, full-time DPT Program enrolled 46 students while the 24-month, full-time PA Program enrolled 38 students.
