Mike Stewart (born 1963) is a nine-time World Champion bodyboarder, one of the early pioneers of the bodyboarding sport, a pioneer of big-wave tow-in surfing and also a champion bodysurfer. Having ridden bodyboards since the inception of the sport, Stewart is the most experienced bodyboarder currently on the tour.
The tube-riding expert invented new maneuvers and inspired surfers to push the limits beyond their age. Today, Stewart is widely recognized as the father and godfather of modern competitive bodyboarding. Interestingly, the Hawaiian entered a bodysurfing competition before becoming a competitive bodyboarder.
For 40 years I have committed my life to bodyboarding. From my discoveries along the way, I have gained a wealth of experience & knowledge, which is the foundation on which all Science Bodyboards are built.

Mike recommends riding a board between: Board Size Details: Smaller size on the scale for hollower, more powerful surf with speed to burn / Larger boards for a variety of sections to generate more speed out of less juicy waves or sections.
