It hasn't been taken off. CR has season 2 for Europe (excluding French and German speaking Europe) and MENA. That would be why you can't see it in France, even though it worked for you in some other countries of Europe. It also has season 1 in some regions, but offhand I don't which regions those are--definitely not the US.
