Peep show is a very painful show - some have described it as a horror show in that it depicts an unflinchingly bleak world where people are at their most cruel, most selfish points. I personally cannot watch University Challenge.
Peep Show moments where you thought the writing was questionable? Discussion. So we all know the show is generally brilliantly written and for me Sam and Jesse are two of the most talented TV writers going. But, no-ones perfect.
Peep Show is fantastic and in some ways relatable but in absurd ways. David Mitchell is absolutely brilliant and his work with Webb here is awesome. Peep Show was so easy to binge.
I love it, start to finish. The terrible death of the game bird, Jez and the jam fingers, pushing Barney away from the car, Mark scamming for Nana's Cottage; it's that perfect chaos Peep Show does so well.
One of the criticisms is that a large number of left wingers have shown an interest and made left wing memes and comments about it despite it being a show about two English men with a cast that is majority English with the exception of Johnson, Elena and Dobby.
I think it'd have taken away from Peep Show to recast. It's a lot more grounded than other sitcoms. Big Suze and Michelle were replacements for Nancy and Toni, and they worked fine. And I'm convinced that Angus is a similar stand-in for MacLeish.
