Eric Robin Bell (born 3 September 1947) is a Northern Irish rock and blues musician, best known as a founding member and the original guitarist of the rock group Thin Lizzy, of which he was a member from 1969 to 1973.
Together with Philip Lynott and Brian Downey, Eric Bell formed the first Irish rock band to hit the English Charts with hits like 'The Rocker' and 'Whiskey in The Jar'.

After early work with showbands including The Bluebeats, The Earth Dwellers and The Dreams, the veteran guitarist struck gold when he teamed up with Eric Wrixon, Brian Downey and Phil Lynott.
After leaving Thin Lizzy, he joined the Noel Redding Band, then later Mainsqueeze, which included stints backing Bo Diddley. Since leaving Thin Lizzy, Bell has also continued to record and perform both solo, and leading his own blues-based trio the Eric Bell Band.
