Il est connu pour être le guitariste soliste et l'un des fondateurs et des compositeurs principaux du groupe de hard rock Aerosmith, avec lequel il a publié quatorze albums depuis 1973.
Anthony Joseph Perry, més conegut com a Joe Perry, ( 10 de setembre de 1950, Lawrence, Massachusetts) és un guitarrista de rock dur, conegut per pertànyer al grup Aerosmith . Perry és fill de pares immigrants italoportuguesos. En arribar als Estats Units d'Amèrica el seu avi va canviar el cognom de Pereira a Perry.
