Papa Emeritus IV (formerly Cardinal Copia) was the fourth frontman of Ghost, his cycle lasting from April 6, 2018 to October 11, 2023. He is stated to be the first frontman to not be a part of the Emeritus bloodline, though it is heavily implied he is the bastard son of Papa Nihil and Sister Imperator. He was the frontman for three albums.

During the final show of A Pale Tour Named Death, Cardinal Copia was anointed and introduced as Papa Emeritus IV. Despite anonymity being one of Ghost's biggest themes, Forge's identity as Papa Emeritus was revealed following a lawsuit in April 2017 by former Ghost members over a royalties dispute.

Without revealing the movie's title, the teaser depicted Papa Emeritus IV on stage and announced that the movie would be released worldwide soon. Later, on May 1, the band revealed an upcoming release date for June 20, 2024, as well as the film's name, Rite Here Rite Now .
