So "I like dancing" or "I love dancing" is preferable -- perhaps even more grammatically correct -- to "I like to dance" or "I love to dance."

For that reason, it is idiomatic to say she is eager to learn English (and therefore "to" is an infinitive marker, and not a preposition).
