Un 17 de febrero de 2005 muere en San Nicolás a los 69 años, Enrique Omar Sívori, uno de los mas grandes jugadores que dio el fútbol argentino. Fue estrella de River Plate y de “Los Carasucias” campeones sudamericanos, en Lima en 1957. En Italia brilló en la Juventus, donde ganó cinco títulos y en el Napoli, con el que fue subcampeón.
