Maybe she was difficult when younger, but she seems to have mellowed in her old age. Lovely and sad stories about Shelley's final years in this video. That was very sweet. Thanks for sharing.

As a starlet, she was very well-read and outspoken, a rare bird in 1950s Hollywood. She had opinions about literature, politics, psychology, etc., and expressed them with wit.

The only time she got pissed was with Robert Duvall at the oscars. None of it would be allowed today. The thing is she's not even that heavy in that clip. Compared to people today, Shelley wasn't that huge.

She does so much work, she says, wears herself out, writes biographies, and it's all the same. Her labor is her defense for not being a better actress. 4 de dic. de 2021 · For those who think Winters wasn't a good actress watch The Diary of Anne Frank (1959), Lolita (1962) Alfie (1966) and Next Stop Greenwich Village (1976) Her talent doesn't matter, she was fat! Shelley Winters may have made a wonderful writer or watchmaker. But the cinema is a visual medium.
28 de ago. de 2021 · August 28, 2021 4:45 AM. Shelley told the story that she was sitting between Errol Flynn and Clark Gable, not sure which one was her date. When asked who she picked, she said "Errol. I had a feeling that Clark would wait." So I guess she got to him eventually, too.
