After getting more informed I switched to DEGIRO in a year. Don't make the same mistake as I did and look closely at the costs. If you invest in the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VUSA) with DEGIRO every month, you invest in the same market as those costly brokers but only for 0,07% ongoing charges a year (already calculated in the ETF price).

You will be on the IBKR european side, which is in Ireland and has to follow the same european laws than DeGiro. - DeGiro has less exposure. I don't get why. I have been in bouth brokers. I feel safer on IBKR because of their professionalism. But, is much more complicated to understand.
4 de oct. de 2021 · I'm based in Poland and I use 3 brokers. Degiro (5 years), eToro (less than 1y) and IB (2 months). I opened eToro and IB because I am getting ever more angry with Degiro but lets start with the positive side of things. It does its stuff as they announce. No investment advice, you are responsible for all of it.

Estoy entre invertir en un ETF en DeGiro o un fondo indexado con Myinvestor, pero tengo muchas dudas respecto a las ventajas y desventajas de ambos. (en ambos casos invertiría en un instumento que siga al MSCI).

I ve never used Degiro so im curious since i do not have 25k to use IBKR (im around 4.5k) and i have not found any other reliable/cheap broker(im interested in US stocks only).
18 de ene. de 2022 · Does anyone know if Degiro has an API? I'm trying to build and automated portfolio with Python, but I can only find unofficial API, which raises a bit of a red flag to me. Can't see anything on my account parameters either that would look like there is an API. I don't want to execute orders, just get the daily balance and trade history. Cheers.
4 de mar. de 2021 · This endpoint is used by the degiro website itself, so user browsers are calling that endpoint when degiro website is used. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think the extension "exploits" the APIs, because all the APIs are accessible and they are not secret - you can check all endpoint calls and data flows from/to Degiro right in your browser.
24 de ene. de 2020 · DeGiro is regulated by the Dutch financial market authorities (AFM) and their rules probably forbid doing something like that. If you have a basic account though, DeGiro may (usually for a short time) sell your stock to a short seller.
