Feud is an anthology series that explores famous feuds, such as the one between actresses Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. The series features Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon, Alison Wright, Naomi Watts and other stars in the roles of the feuding celebrities.
Bette and Joan was inspired by the real-life feud between Crawford and Davis, and explores issues of sexism, ageism, and misogyny in Hollywood. Its eight episodes were expanded from a feature-length screenplay Murphy had optioned called Best Actress by Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam.
