- Our missions
Nesta (formerly NESTA, National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) is a British foundation, registered as a charity, which supports innovation. Nesta was originally funded by a £250 million endowment from the UK National Lottery.
In 1998, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) was launched with Lord Puttnam as our founding Chair, and a statutory remit ‘to promote talent, creativity and innovation in science, technology, and the arts’.
