Nordhaus to serve as the 30th chief of the National Guard Bureau, replacing the current chief, Army Gen. Daniel R. Hokanson. If confirmed by the Senate, Nordhaus would promote to four-star general and serve as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
