Jon Mueller (born 1970 in Waukesha, Wisconsin) is an American percussionist and composer, ... In 2011, he started his Death Blues project, described by Mueller as, "a multidisciplinary project that addresses the inevitability of death as impetus to become more present in each moment."
From 2013-15, Mueller created and directed the multi-disciplinary project Death Blues. The project issued four critically acclaimed recordings. Rolling Stone cited non-fiction as one of the ‘20 Best Avant Albums of 2014’. Ensemble, created with multi-instrumentalist William Ryan Fritch, was featured on NPR’s ‘First Listen’.
Since 2009, Rhythmplex has presented the music and multi-disciplinary projects of drummer and percussionist Jon Mueller. Project partnerships have included AIGA, Alverno Presents, Eaux Claires Festival, Shaker Heritage Society, Popelka Trenchard Glass, Bjorklunden and Viva!
