More than a mere spot in an elite unit, membership in the ensemble requires a commitment to service through music and willingness to give for others—core principles exemplified by Rollins throughout his life and career.

Justin is currently teaching here at Oberlin as Gary Bartz' sabbatical replacement. Justin is considered one of the foremost jazz alto saxophonists in the world today.

The group performs in Finney Chapel during the academic year and appears at college festivals throughout the United States. The jazz ensemble presents standard repertoire and new works including pieces by student composers.
