Friedrich Kuhlau Biography Friedrich Daniel Rudolf Kuhlau (11 September 1786 – 12 March 1832) was a German-Danish composer during the Classical and Romantic periods. He was a central figure of the Danish Golden Age. He is immortalized in Danish cultural history through his music for Elverhøj, the first true work of Danish National Romanticism and a concealed tribute to the absolute monarchy.

Friedrich Kuhlau (Uelzen, 11 de setembre de 1786 - Copenhaguen, 12 de març de 1832) fou un compositor alemany. Als set anys quedà borni a conseqüència d'una caiguda. Estudià a Braunschweig , i més tard a Hamburg , i el 1810 , fugint de la proscripció imposada per la dominació francesa, es refugià a Copenhaguen.
Friedrich Daniel Rudolf Kuhlau (Uelzen, 11 de septiembre de 1786 – Lyngby-Taarbæk, cerca de Copenhagen, 12 de marzo de 1832) fue un compositor alemán-danés de los períodos clásico y romántico. Nacido en Alemania, luego de haber perdido su ojo derecho en un accidente a la edad de siete años, estudió piano en Hamburgo.
