  1. You Will Cover. Year 7. Introduction to Geography: Countries and continents; latitude and longitude. Coasts: Coastal processes and management. UK Geography and Map skills: Symbols; grid references; direction; scale; the physical and human Geography of the British Isles. Biomes and Ecosystems: Coral Reefs, Tropical Rainforests and Polar regions.

  2. The Curriculum (weekly) 4 periods of English, Maths and Science. 1 period of PE. 3 periods of each option subject. Students taking triple science will have 2 additional hours of Science, maintaining the same number of option choices as other students.

  3. KS3 History Curriculum | Queensmead School. Studying History at Queensmead is an exciting way to find out more about the world we live in today. Students follow the National Curriculum, covering a range of key topics throughout Year 7 and Year 8. In Year 9, students focus on the transition towards studying topics in greater depth at GCSE.

  4. The pupils design and make a phone holder and a tea light holder that involves working with metal. They continue to develop their electronic skills when designing and making a steady hand game. Year 9. As students progress through KS3, they are given the opportunity to focus on specific aspects of the subject such as product design or engineering.

  6. Year 7. Year 7 begins with a transition unit of work, aiming to give students a taste of the different activities on the curriculum and introduce them to the Queensmead values. Students then begin 3-week units of activities. Over the course of the year, students cover 12 different activities, with more available after school.
