Bea Arthur was an American actress, comedian, and singer. She was best known for her roles as Dorothy Zbornak on the NBC sitcom The Golden Girls (1985–1992), and as Maude Findlay on the CBS sitcom Maude (1972–1978). Arthur was born in New York City on May 13, 1922.
