This stadium was built in 1982 for the Triestina team which was hoping to get into the big leagues. It now hosts C Series games and is waiting for the city's team to make a big comeback. This stadium remains however a jewel of sporting engineering. This older stadium is now used for small league football and light athletics. It is only a short walk away from the new stadium.
