Worcester College is one of the colleges of the University of Oxford. It was founded in 1714. The college is located on the site of Gloucester College, which was founded in 1283 as place of study by a Benedictine Abbey. Eventually fifteen abbeys shared the college.
With 26 acres of peaceful grounds, Worcester is the perfect place to connect with nature and enjoy our contemporary sculpture. We’re privileged to host two showstopping installations: Henry Moore’s Reclining Figure (1982) outside the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre and Nigel Hall’s Mirrored (2011). These projects are conducted in parallel with six other universities across the UK as part of a collaboration with the Nurture-U Research Consortium.
