Nelsons Film nicht mehr allzu viel mit den Ursprüngen der Reihe zu tun, hebt sich aber an vielen Stellen angenehm von den schlimmen Fortsetzungen der Reihe ab, wobei dieser Neustart sehr viel düsterer und ernster ausfällt, was vielen Fans der vorherigen Filme wohl nicht unbedingt gefallen wird.

Il resto del gruppo (Jen, Adam, Darius e Luis) finisce in ostaggio. Il gruppo viene portato in un insediamento primitivo nella profonda foresta, sede della Fondazione, e valutati da un tribunale.
