This is a solid tishoumaren album from Tinariwen, but it is not helped by the recording and mastering. Excessively close mic'ed and red-lined, at least on the vinyl edition, this is such a "hot" recording that it lacks perspective and atmosphere. The mics are practically down the mouth of the singers and guitarists.
