Rosalind Russell (Waterbury (Connecticut), 4 juni 1907 - Beverly Hills (Californië), 28 november 1976) was een Amerikaanse actrice.. Russell had zeven broers en zussen. Ze ging naar een katholieke school en studeerde drama op de universiteit. Russell begon in 1934 in films te spelen en had tegenspelers zoals Joan Crawford en Jean Harlow.Vanaf 1953 ging ze ook op Broadway acteren.
Rosalind fez um personagem que poderia lhe valer um Oscar, mas ela não concordou em ser indicada como atriz coadjuvante pelo estúdio ( Columbia Pictures ). A atriz foi casada por 35 anos com o produtor Frederick Brisson, com quem teve seu único filho em 1943. Russel morreu aos 69 anos, após uma longa batalha contra o câncer de mama.
