Texas State finished its second consecutive 4-8 season on Saturday with a 41-13 loss at home to Louisiana-Lafayette. The Sun Belt program has had only one winning season since moving up to the FBS in 2012.

Spavital became the Bobcats’ head coach prior to the 2019 season. In four seasons in San Marcos, Spavital coached the team to records of 3-9, 2-10, 4-8, and 4-8.

  5. 30 de nov. de 2023 · Jake Spavital is returning to the Lone Star State after being named the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Baylor, head coach Dave Aranda announced Thursday. Spavital was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of California, Berkeley, during the 2023 season.
