James Guthrie (nascido em 14 de novembro de 1953) é um produtor musical britânico, mais conhecido pelo seu trabalho com a banda Pink Floyd. Guthrie foi engenheiro de som e produtor de vários álbuns do Pink Floyd, entre eles The Wall (1979) e The Final Cut (1983), e, consequentemente, trabalhado com a banda e com seus membros, de alguma forma ou de outra, em todos os seus futuros projetos.

James Guthrie was born in 1792 in Bardstown, Kentucky. After studying the law and being admitted to the bar in 1817, he opened a private law practice and pursued a career in politics as a Democrat. After two failed attempts at serving in the state legislature, Guthrie became commonwealth attorney for Kentucky in 1820.
Although producer and engineer James Guthrie has recorded a number of artists, he is best known for his seminal work with the legendary band Pink Floyd, who he’s been associated with for more than forty years. He is the only member of their production team to be awarded a GRAMMY for his contributions, which are considered an essential element of the band’s timeless sound.
