Since Tennessee State University has open admissions, any qualified students are able to attend--interested students will still need to submit an application. Those with GPAs of 3.20 are more or less guaranteed acceptance, while all applicants are generally required to submit ACT or SAT scores.

Requirement 3: Official College transcripts from each institution attended that disclose final grades.

Students who feel that they are competent in certain subject areas are encouraged to earn credit through a nationally recognized credit-by-examination program or through departmental credit-by-examination programs at TSU.
