Leonard Darwin (Down House, 15 de enero de 1850 - Forest Row, 26 de marzo de 1943) fue un político, militar y economista británico, hijo del naturalista Charles Darwin. Era defensor de la eugenesia y fue el mentor de Ronald Fisher y presidente de la Royal Geographical Society entre 1905 y 1911.

Presidió la British Eugenics Society (Eugenics Education Society) entre 1911 y 1928 sucediendo al fundador de la misma, su tío Francis Galton.
Leonard fue el mentor de RA Fischer, fundador de la estadística moderna y uno de los principales artífices de la síntesis neo-darwinista, autor de perlas como esta, quien casualmente dedicó su obra “The Genetical Theory of Natural Selection” (1930) a Leonard.
