Nevertheless, the mini-album does precisely what it intended to do: it's a chill time, perfect for pop, country, or hip-hop playlists or anything in between.
Meanwhile, If Nelly was hard to believe as a rapper, he's outright preposterous as a 'good ol' country boy', and this poses a problem because, for its 27 minutes on Earth, Heartland's entire raison d'être appears to be simperingly convincing the listener of that very thing.
