The Lady Vanishes is Hitchcock's most hilarious work I've seen so far. Compared to Hitchcock's Hollywood efforts, this one is unapologetically British, from its signature British dry humor, to the overt British patriotism that's wonderfully in sync with the prewar era it's in.
