One-quarter of our students are Episcopalian. The overall school community is characterized by openness, trust and forgiveness. The School Chaplain, an Episcopal priest, is a full time employee of the school and serves as pastor to the school community. Students and faculty attend regular chapel services in the 100-year-old St. Andrew's Chapel.

At St. Andrew's-Sewanee School the Theatre is a space for learning and for creating. Formal theatre courses focus on collaborative skills, scenework, types of performance and acting methods. Students in both Middle School and the Upper School have the opportunity to audition for productions throughout the year.
8 de oct. de 2017 · St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School is the result of the 1981 merger of two older institutions, and it builds upon the heritage of three Episcopal schools founded on Monteagle Mountain in Franklin County. The junior department of the University of the South, opened in 1867, went by several different names and enrolled students of various ages but existed longest as the Sewanee Military Academy.
