It is also the first American release for the band since 1998, and was assembled by the band's manager, Bill Thompson.

8 de ago. de 2012 · Since I went to every Airplane performance at the Fillmore East, I'm sure I was at one of the shows recorded for this disc. It really takes me back to a special time and place in my life. I bought Live At The Fillmore East concert after buying Sweeping Up the Spotlight, the newest concert release. This CD doesn't compare to SUTS soundwise.

By 1969, however, the socio-political climate in America had changed dramatically, and Jefferson Airplane’s music had moved right along with it. Fueled by a fascination with science fiction and an air of impending doom, the group’s material had turned considerably darker in tone, and its live performances had assumed an increasingly aggressive persona.
