Hoewel regisseur Joe Johnston je wil doen geloven dat je naar de Indiana Jones van de jaren 90 kijkt, valt zijn film qua actie en spektakel behoorlijk tegen. Maar toch is The Rocketeer een vermakelijke film geworden.
