The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute has tested my patience and dedication to my art, leaving me to graduate as a more determined, focused and hard-working actor. The Method has trialled my admittance of my past, faith in the present and my ability to trust my future, leaving me with more passion for my art than I could have ever imagined.
Through actor training, outreach, and the preservation of archival materials, The Institute works to further the legacy of Lee Strasberg®, train the world’s greatest actors, and maintain Lee’s place as a seminal figure in the great American theatre and film tradition.
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles is constantly evolving just like the city. As we seek to meet the actors’ needs, new acting classes are designed and added to our curriculum. Each class is carefully selected or created in order to expand the training of the Method actor.

LSTFI NEW YORK CAMPUS APPLICATION. Applications are open for Fall 2024 and all 2025 programs. We have rolling admissions, rather than deadlines, but prospective students are advised to apply at least 2 months prior to their desired program start date.
