This project aims to analyze the doctrine of cause in the Colombian legal system and The Merchant of Venice. As thesis, we propose that contracts contained in The Merchant of Venice between Shylock, Bassanio and Antonio, show that the motifs of the parties when committing to a contract are based upon bounded rationality.
