  7. Up in Central Park (1948) tries a mildly serious costume drama spin on the old Deanna Durbin formula. Not so many laughs, but with a certain elegance, without that heightening the showcase. Does help that you have Vincent Price there and naturally that Durbin trademark is all over this, but you can sense she's getting bored with this.
