Dinah Sheridan wurde als Dinah Nadyejda Mec im Londoner Stadtteil Hampstead geboren. Ihr Vater Fernand Archer Mec, ein gebürtiger Russe, war Fotograf; ihre Mutter Lisa Everth war Deutsche.
