4 de abr. de 2024 · Sally Pearson (born September 19, 1986, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is a retired track athlete and Olympian considered to be one of the most successful Australian hurdlers of all time. Pearson won a gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the London 2012 Olympic Games , and she was also the world champion in the event in 2011 and 2017.
Sally Pearson is one of Australia’s greatest Olympians and regarded as the nation’s most successful track athlete of all time. It was at Beijing 2008 when Sally made her Olympic debut in the 100m hurdles, creating history when she claimed silver behind USA’s Dawn Harper.
Sally Pearson never thought that life away from the track would be so different.. Since retiring in August 2019 the 2012 Olympic champion in the 100m hurdles has been on a journey of self-discovery.. Becoming a mother has been an instrumental part of that process. In July she will celebrate the first birthday of her daughter Ruby.

She had been a world youth (U18) champion in 2003, a Commonwealth Games finalist, and a world championships 2007 semi-finalist.
