Darren Aronofsky es uno de los artistas más polémicos de la industria cinematográfica, y esta vez se une a A24 con otra historia impactante. Ahora nos trae una película que divide a la crítica en cuanto a la calidad del mensaje, pero que la une por su calidad actoral.
Aronofsky trae a la gran pantalla esta adaptación de la obra de teatro 'The Whale', escrita en 2014 por el estadounidense Samuel D. Hunter. 'La ballena' se convierte así en una representación fidedigna de una dolorosa travesía por la culpa de los problemas de los que no se siente conciencia plena hasta que la vida parece estar a punto de acabar.
