Doyle Bramhall II was born in Austin, Texas on December 24, 1968, and his father, Doyle Bramhall, Sr., played drums with various bands, including Texas Storm, which he co-led with Jimmie Vaughan. Taking up the guitar, Doyle II followed his father into the world of the blues, touring with Vaughan 's Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Doyle Bramhall II est un compositeur, guitariste et chanteur américain, né le 24 décembre 1968 à Dallas au Texas.Il est connu pour sa collaboration dans le groupe d'Eric Clapton dont il fut le second guitariste. Il a aussi joué avec Roger Waters en tournée, on le retrouve donc sur l'album live In the Flesh: Live en 2000 et la compilation Flickering Flame: The Solo Years Vol. 1 en 2002.
