Joseph Déjacque (1821-1864) was one of the first self-proclaimed anarchists, and probably the first person to use the term “libertarian” as a synonym for “anarchist.” He may also have been the first person to describe anarchist alternatives to other political perspectives as “anarchism.”

Ha coniato il termine libertaire , libertario , per contrapposizione a liberale, nel suo pamphlet De l'Être-Humain mâle et femelle - Lettre à P. J. Proudhon pubblicato nel 1857 a New Orleans .

Déjacque foi o criador do termo " libertário ", em 1857 , numa carta à Pierre Joseph Proudhon (além disso, de 1858 a 1861, publicou o jornal " Le Libertaire, Journal du Mouvement social ", com a palavra "libertário" em seu título).

Joseph Déjacque (ur. 27 grudnia 1821 w Paryżu, zm. 18 listopada 1864 tamże) – francuski pisarz, poeta i filozof; jeden z prekursorów anarchokomunizmu. Déjacque był pierwszą odnotowaną osobą, która użyła określenia „wolnościowiec” (fr. libertaire) w sensie politycznym.
