Maurice Barrymore. (1847–1905). British actor and sometime playwright Maurice Barrymore was the founder, with his wife, Georgiana Barrymore, of the renowned theatrical Barrymore family. They and their three children ( Lionel Barrymore, Ethel Barrymore, and John Barrymore) dominated American theater in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
